People tend to rely on their smartphone for many things in today’s world. It’s normal to see a number of people walking down the street with their smartphone in their hand as they navigate to their next destination. Google Maps allows people to find specific addresses including businesses. Crucially also, people can leave reviews about businesses through that app. For some businesses such as hotels, restaurants and the like, reviews are of paramount importance. Those reviews and the listing properties are managed by the business owner using a Google platform called “Google My Business”; this has in the past been called Google+ and Google+ Local but it’s now widely referred to as Google My Business. Managers and operators of businesses can update their listing with various information for customers such as a description of their offering their opening hours and they can also add photographs to really showcase the business.
